We kept seeing the same problem across Nigerian companies of all sizes: performance management was either non-existent or done on Excel spreadsheets that nobody actually used.
Employees had no idea how they were doing. Managers had no system to track goals. Good people were leaving because they felt invisible and unrecognised.
The HR tools that existed were either built for Western companies. too expensive in dollars, too complex to set up, and completely disconnected from how Nigerian teams actually work. or too basic to be useful.
